Objectives:

  • Explain how social skills can affect overall cognitive development and how improving social skills can improve educational outcomes for our students.
  • Learn strategies that can be utilized tomorrow to build social-emotional skills based on two essential components of SEL:  humor and metacognition (Metacognition)
  • Employ strategies to develop social reciprocity, self-regulation, an understanding of others and to help students be aware of how their behavior affects others.
